DAY 3 BAÑOS – TENA
“The avenue of the orchids”.
41 miles / 65 km of mostly downhill biking into the Amazonas basin.

Cozy lodge in the jungle at 1.700 feet /500 m.
DAY 4 AMAZONAS JUNGLE
A hike for 3-4 hours in virgin and secondary forest with a native guide.
Visit to an animal recovering center.
Building a raft.
Same lodge as the night before.
DAY 5 TENA - PAPALLACTA
Amazonas jungle climbing up into cloud forest.
This is the day for the uphill lovers! 38 miles / 60 km of workout!
Lowest point 1.700 feet /500 m.

Charming hostel with private thermal pools at 11.200 feet /3.400 m.
DAY 6 PAPALLACTA – QUITO
Soaking in the hot pools in the morning. A late start biking mostly downhill

valley east of the capital Quito.
